ICT Case study

 

 

My ict case study is about a school nurse that has been affected by the modern technology and the developed use of ict. I will talk about her job functionality before and after the update.

 

Before, the nurse used a manual system that consisted of a notebook and a pen. She used to draw tables that contained names of the patients, their class, their illness or symptoms, and lastly the medicine used. The manual work was time consuming and in very often cases the data was lost.

 

After that, the nurse replaced her old, time consuming manual system with a new simplified system on the laptop. After interviewing her, she declared that the new system was easy, functional and accurate. The new system had new fields added, like and expert system that can help the nurse deal with rough cases, it also had a built-in memory and a code for each student and teacher in the school which contained a data-base about each student and their older records of being ill or if they visited the nurse. 

 

 

With the help of technology, nursing just became better!!
